A hosted Witty API
There is major news to share: we have secured resources for a hosted deployment of the Witty NLP API. For now those resources are limited, but there is a possibility of getting them increased.
If you are interested, please email us at api@witty.works and include some tentative use cases. Knowing how you would use the API helps us plan capacity and make the case for more resources.
What will — and won't — be included
For now we will not offer a hosted Dashboard or Word add-in. We are also not yet sure how much we will invest in the browser extension, although we have made some improvements that are not yet published in the Chrome and Firefox extension stores. The source code of all these tools remains available, as described in Witty Goes Open Source.
One more thing: the Witty Editor
There is now a Witty Editor: Witty's inclusive-language checker as an embeddable rich-text editor. Its source code lives in the browser extension repository.
The hosted Witty API will come with a simple UI built on the Editor, and hopefully also an integration of Witty GPT.
PS: there will be a little surprise in there for people writing in German.
